First Field Trip in 2021 after Covid19 lookdown.
Volker Vahrenkamp, Pankaj Khanna, and Alex Petrovic visited the Al Wajh platform this January.
In order to investigate the role of dust in carbonate production within Al Wajh lagoon, they installed dust traps on various islands to collect dust for an annual cycle.
Furthermore, drone imagery was recorded, while samples were collected to investigate MIS5e coral reefs in the Al Wajh area.
