CARESS’s Unconventionals Group (Led by Prof. Volker Vahrenkamp and Dr. Israa Abu-Mahfouz has undertaken a successful field trip to Jordan in the period between October 29th and November 7th to investigate the Upper Cretaceous Source Rock Sequence. The trip involved several stops in central and south Jordan and it has been enriched by productive investigations and discussions with the presence of our collaborators: Prof Frans van Buchem ( KAUST), Prof Philip Razin and Prof Carine Grelaud (University of Bordeaux, France), Prof John Powell (British Geological Survey, UK), and Prof Kahlil Ibrahim (The Hashemite University, Jordan).
